Have you embarked on an Evening Paddle at the park? Share an experience with friends and family by paddling the lake at sunset. Set float and spend time on the serene water as the songbirds settle in the sounds of the evening.

Guest are required to bring their own canoe/kayak/s.u.p. along with a Type III PFD (personal floatation device) vest style. Guests can unload watercrafts near the upper portion of the dam. Pre-registration is required. The cost is $10 per person for non-members. Members will receive a 50% discount.

When delivering meals, you are bringing the nutrition needed as well as a friendly face to the people receiving meals in your community. Drivers typically deliver once or twice a month, this is done on Mondays through Fridays from 10:30 until 12.

“Appalachian Skies” is returning to the planetarium theatre on May 2! Reserve your seats now for this fascinating show. 💫

“Appalachian Skies” will take visitors on a majestic tour of the current evening sky using the spectacular Zeiss optical star projector instrument. Its fiber-optic generated star field is stunning and a pleasure to see. This live presentation is enhanced with additional content from our VELVET LED projectors for a wonderful, immersive experience. You don’t want to miss it!

Due to the live nature of the program, and the natural progression of the changing night sky throughout the seasons, each presentation will be unique! Learn what fascinating mythological constellations, from Ancient Greece and other cultures, will be easily visible. Marvel at their lore. Find out what planets are easily seen as well. Visitors will take this knowledge home and be able to locate these celestial sights for themselves.

Here's the last photo drop for Spring Day of Caring. THANKS AGAIN TO EVERYONE’s HELP we were able to get 400 hours of work accomplished at Darrell's Dream Boundless Playground. THAT IS SO HUGE! Plus, we had a team working on removing stumps and invasive trees over on Duck Island as part of our Duck Island Restoration Project. AMAZING DAY - GOD BLESS EACH OF YOU!

There is a threat of rain, but if you look at all the different weather apps, the prediction of when it will rain and how much varies greatly. Please be prayerful we can still get a few good hours of work in - in the morning as so many of our group leaders and volunteers would be unable to work next weekend. HAVING FAITH it will all work out.

The Friends of Warriors' Path State Park and MANY VOLUNTEERS and COMMUNITY PARTNERS have been busy working on several projects at the playground and throughout Warriors' Path State Park.

SCHEDULE:
8:15am Breakfast / Pre-staging and Group Photos
8:45am Welcome Mayor Paul Montgomery and Rep Bud Hulsey
9am Start Work
11am-12Noon Finish/Lunch

IMPORTANT REMINDERS:
- Come earlier if want to help stage equipment and supplies
- Wear old clothes, shoes, etc.
- Dress in layers as it may be cool in morning
- Might want to bring / wear a raincoat or poncho-JUST IN CASE
- Bring / wear work gloves if you have, I have some, but not
enough.
- If you have weeding tools, rake or wheel barrel, we can use. Please put name on each. I will have labels and markers too.
