If you know us, you know we take our corporate values very seriously. In everything we do, we put people first, and we try to make a difference every day. Recently, an unexpected connection showed us how impactful upholding these values can be.
Some years ago, we engineered a modular workholding solution for fire truck cabs for our customer, Spartan Emergency Response. This weekend, one of their trucks will be the cornerstone of an event in Lakeview, Michigan, organized by
Curing Kids Cancer. It’s a fire truck pull, where teams compete to pull the 14,000-lb. vehicle 50 feet. Each team pulls on behalf of a child affected by childhood cancer.
This year, not only is the truck built by Spartan, but because of a personal connection, a Bluco team member felt compelled to support the cause. Through our Bluco Cares program, which includes matching employee contributions to qualified organizations, we were able to contribute to this event in honor of a young cancer warrior.
We are humbled and grateful to see how our daily work, combined with the spirit of our team and the strength of our partnerships, can ripple out into the world in unexpected and impactful ways. It's a powerful reminder that every piece of work we do can be part of a larger story.
