📍 Location: Nampa, Idaho
🕒 Employment Type: Full-Time (40+ hours/week), with occasional weekend work during peak season.

Are you detail-oriented, hands-on, and passionate about construction and engineering? We’re looking for a Field and Laboratory Technicians to support our materials testing and quality assurance/control operations across both lab and field environments. In this role, you’ll help ensure that materials used in construction projects—like asphalt, concrete, soil, and aggregate—consistently meet performance, safety, and regulatory standards.
Your work will directly contribute to the durability and success of roadways, infrastructure, and other vital builds.
What You’ll Do:
Field Sampling & Testing
Collect and test soil, aggregate, concrete, and asphalt samples on-site per ASTM, AASHTO, and project specs.
Perform fresh concrete testing (slump, temperature, air content, unit weight).
Conduct hot mix asphalt (HMA) testing, including nuclear density tests, temperature checks, and core sampling.
Laboratory Testing
Mold, label, transport, and cure concrete specimens for break testing.
Perform lab testing on hardened concrete, compaction, aggregate gradations, asphalt flow/stability, and more.
Ensure all lab procedures align with ASTM and AASHTO standards.
Documentation & Reporting
Accurately document and report test results within required timelines.
Maintain organized records and assist with data entry/reporting.
Equipment Maintenance
Clean, calibrate, and maintain lab and field equipment.
Safely handle nuclear gauges and comply with all equipment protocols.
Compliance & Communication
Follow company safety standards and PPE requirements.
Communicate clearly with clients, contractors, and internal teams.
Maintain proper custody and labeling of all samples.
Team Support
Work closely with Quality Control Managers and support both field and lab crews as needed.
Contribute to smooth and efficient project ex*****on.

✔ Experience or familiarity with ASTM/AASHTO procedures (preferred)
✔ Strong communication and teamwork skills
✔ Ability to work flexible hours and travel to job sites during peak season
✔ Willingness to work in a variety of environments (indoor lab and outdoor field).
