The nuclear-powered fast-attack submarine USS Idaho (SSN 799) returns to Naval Submarine Base New London in Groton, Conn., Sept. 28, 2026, following a four-month deployment to the U.S. European Command area of responsibility. Idaho and crew operate under Submarine Squadron (SUBRON) 4, whose primary mission is to provide attack submarines that are ready, prepared, and committed to meet the unique challenges of undersea combat and deployed operations in unforgiving environments across the globe.

If there is one thing we know for sure, it is that boating season in New England is never long enough. That is why we are already three steps ahead, planning for winter upgrades so you can make the most of next season.
