A spirit of generosity filled the air this past Sunday as Dunaway's Chapel United Methodist Church officially dedicated the Mitch Arnold "Heart of Giving" Food Pantry, a new outreach initiative aimed at supporting families in need throughout the Lascassas community.

Named in honor of longtime church member and community servant Mitch Arnold, the pantry will provide non-perishable food items and essential personal care products to local residents facing hardship. Church leaders and laity gathered for a heartfelt dedication ceremony, celebrating Arnold’s legacy of compassion and service.

“This pantry is a reflection of Mitch’s unwavering commitment to helping others,” said laity member Carolyn Alexander. “We hope it becomes a beacon of hope and a reminder that no one in our community should go without.”

The "Heart of Giving" pantry will operate weekly and is open to all Lascassas residents, with no proof of income required. Donations from church members, local businesses, and volunteers are welcome.

For more information on hours of operation or how to contribute, visit Dunaway's Chapel UMC’s website orpage www.facebook.com/dcumc.
