Ready Maintenance - Mobile Mower Mechanics is bringing our mobile services to your area on dedicated weekly route days (Wednesdays & Thursdays)! We offer preventive maintenance service and minor repairs for your equipment right in your driveway.

Mobile 2-Stage Snowblower PM Service — $220 + tax

(All-in PM service: covers travel, the preventive maintenance service, and complete inspection)

Service Highlights:

• Full synthetic oil change & brand-new spark plug

• Stale gas is drained and replaced with up to 1 quart of 90 octane non-ethanol gasoline

• Belts, idler pulleys & drive friction wheel inspected

• Auger gearcase lubricated & shear pins inspected

• Wheels pulled, axles anti-seized & tire pressures set

• Operational test run

(This PM service is for 4-cycle, 2-stage gas snowblowers and portable generators. PM tune-ups and minor running repairs only—no heavy internal overhauls or 2-stroke single-stage units).

Think a snowblower PM Service is just a fresh oil and a new spark plug? It's a whole lot more! ❄️🔧

The worst time to find out your snowblower has an issue is during the first major snowfall of the season. When we perform a Preventive Maintenance (PM) Service, our goal is simple: ensure your machine is 100% reliable the moment the snow falls.

Here’s what goes into a full PM service with us:

Belts & Pulleys: We inspect drive belts for dry rot and micro-cracks, plus check the idler pulleys, guides, and tensioners to prevent mid-storm snap failures.

Ground Drive System: Full inspection of the friction wheel, disc, and movement along the hex shaft. We clean the friction disc and l**e all drive gears, springs, and shafts.

Axles & Wheels: We pull the wheels off to inspect bushings/bearings, clean down the axle shafts, and apply a fresh coat of anti-seize (so your rims never rust-weld to the axle).

Auger & Housing: We check for bent flights, test shear pins, inspect the gearbox, and grease the auger shaft so shear pins can actually do their job.

Controls & Linkages: We test and l**e all engagement handles, chute controls, speed selectors, and cables from top to bottom.

Engine & Fuel: Fresh oil, new plug, fresh stabilized fuel, and a verified test run.

What a beautiful day it was to have jobs in Dallas, Kunkle, and Noxen, PA. The view was incredible driving through those areas especially after the sun came out! Days like today make me feel lucky to do what I do!

If you want to catch some beautiful fall foliage before the leave fall, I highly recommend traveling RT-29 from West Nanticoke to Kunkle.

⚠️
BEWARE OF SOME OF THE LAWN EQUIPMENT BEING SOLD ON MARKETPLACE!

I'm not saying not to buy tractors, mowers, and other equipment from marketplace, but please exercise due diligence! Over the past 3 weeks, I've repaired 5 machines, with serious problems, that were purchased locally on facebook marketplace. I just scheduled #6.

Every one of the buyers spent $500-$800 on lawn tractors (more than 12 years old) from marketplace, only to have them fail within the first or second time they went to use them. Then, hundreds more to have them fixed.

The problems I'm seeing are: hard start/no start, leaking/gummed up carburetors, multiple oil leaks, a blown head gasket, a seized deck spindle, a cracked/slipping transmission belt, stripped spindle shafts with bent blades, and dry-rotted tires.

Don't be the next victim. If you're unsure, or don't know what to look for, ask someone who does know to go with you to look at it.
