🧱♻️ What happens to LEFTOVER CONCRETE at Ellis Brothers?

There are many ways concrete can be recycled, and this is one of them!

When our mixer trucks return to the plant with leftover concrete from a job and we have empty molds available, we pour that material into the molds to create bin blocks. Once the concrete cures, those blocks can be used for retaining walls, material storage bins, barriers, and many other applications.

It's a practical way to reduce waste, make the most of every load, and give returned concrete a second life. 🚛💪

One of our very favorite traditions isn't delivering concrete... it's delivering ICE CREAM 🍦

Yesterday, Ellis Brothers Concrete and United Aggregates Inc made special stops at the Mount Vernon Police Department, Knox County Sheriff's Office, Mount Vernon Fire Department, and the City Engineer's Office to thank the people who work behind the scenes and on the front lines to serve our community every day.

We're proud to be part of such a great community and grateful for all that these organizations do. Thank you for your dedication, hard work, and service. We hope we were able to make your day a little sweeter!

Ever wonder what a ✨SKID STEER✨ is used for on a concrete job?

When a mixer truck can't get close enough to the placement area, contractors often use a skid steer to help transport concrete from the truck to the forms. In these photos from a job we delivered at Veloz Outdoors in Marion, Ohio, concrete for the building's entrance steps was moved by skid steer to reach an area with limited access.

Small but powerful💪, skid steers are a common sight on construction sites because they can maneuver through tight spaces, carry heavy loads, and help keep projects moving efficiently.
