Let’s spread some awareness for our senior citizens.

In North America the number of elderlies over the age of 65 years old who have been involved in a fire related accident have soared. According to the Department of Homeland Security and the United States Fire Administration, more than 1,000 Americans aged 65 years and older die each year in home fires and more than 2,000 are injured. The NFPA are in talks with firefighters, elder care providers, occupational therapists, researchers, and public safety educators for ways to combat the rising threat.
