It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our founder and the heart of McKelvey Enterprises, Ray McKelvey.

Ray's unwavering work ethic, deep-rooted love for his community, and vision for service shaped the foundation for our company. While we mourn his loss, we also celebrate the remarkable legacy he leaves behind-one that lives on in our values: locally owned, customer-focused, and committed to giving back to our community we proudly serve.

Clifford Ray McKelvey of Mount Pleasant, Texas, passed away on October 15, 2025. Ray was born to parents Thomas and Verna Taylor McKelvey on May 20, 1940 in Mount Pleasant, Texas. Ray alongside his wife, Mary Ellen, and sons in 1977 began McKelvey Enterprises and instilled the importance of giving
