I’ve returned to the place on earth that has captivated my heart and soul since I first arrived on her shores six years ago. I’m not a religious man, but I find it hard to say this any differently- it’s the closest place on earth to heaven. As a friend recently retorted, “it’s a thin place”. For me, it’s hard to imagine not always returning. It may be months or years, but too much of my heart resides here. If I wish to visit my full heart, it must set sail.

Moonrise off of Waiheke Island… the Southern Cross in the upper left is what does it for me. Also, there’s something about those fruit hammocks. They’ve been empty for awhile now. It’s just this chapter. Before we know it we will return to the islands of bananas and pamplemousse and they shall overflow with their bounty once again 🍌🌴🥥🍊🍋🥑🐓🧜‍♀️🤷
