Standing Stone Forge was created by Wayne Young with the help of his father, Hal Young, in 1988, near Standing Stone Creek, Elizabeth(Wirt County), WV. Wayne had a dream of being a blacksmith from the time he was a very small boy. He apprenticed with some top, modern-day artists, such as W. Frank Hedgecock and Jeff Fetty. Standing Stone Forge is now located in Mt. Lookout (Nicholas County), WV. Wayne is now assisted by his two sons, Sam and Justin.
