Triple R Services, LLC provides services to enhance your steam experience. We strive to do the job correctly as our priority over deadlines or broken promises. We have repaired, retrofitted, weathered and built working scale models of steam powered boats, cars and trains for 10 years and counting. FOR SALE: Aster/Accucraft USRA Heavy Mikado

An excellent example of the Aster/Accucraft USRA Heavy Mikado in New York Central lettering, road number 1849.

This Mikado has been carefully maintained and has been run only a handful of times since new.

This locomotive is alcohol fired. This Heavy Mikado comes equipped with a sight glass, pressure gauge, axle and hand pumps and a boiler blow down valve as standard.

For added realism, this Mikado has been equipped with LED head and marker lights, with battery pack located under the tender.

Here's a great chance to get one of these in excellent condition. Locomotive comes with the original box and manuals, plus tools.

On offer Accucraft Quarry Hunslet in very good condition , presented in yellow with red backed builders plates.

This particular model is equipped with a Goodall valve, pressure gauge and dead leg displacement lubricator; along with an upgraded burner, gas and throttle valves.

The cylinders are upgraded with new pistons and silicone o-rings.

The Locomotive is 1:13.7 (7/8ths) scale and runs on 45mm or 32mm gauge track. It is easily regaugeable in a matter of minutes.

Up for sale is a brand new Roundhouse Ffestiniog Railway Small England (aka Palmerston) done up as No. 2, Prince in the 1980's Ffestiniog Red with black tank top.

Stunningly lined by Berry Hill Works as per period photographs and fitted with Prince Name and number plates. This is a $500 value-add and the end result is absolutely worth it.

This example is Manual Control

The Small England has all the mod cons one expects from a new Roundhouse loco. Water top up valve fitted as standard, quiet FG burner, full valve gear between the frames of this little gem of an 0-4-0, Sight glass, Pressure gauge and more.

"2026 brings the release of our new Lyton & Barnstaple - 'YEO'! This 2-6-2 tank engine features simplified Joy valve gear, water top up system with gauge, sprung buffers and detailed cast parts.
Full radio control for both regulator and reversing valve gear using 2.4GHz R/C equipped as standard.

Update 01/06/2026: YEO is also available in Manual Control

An excellent example of the pinnacle of Aster Japanese Locomotive production: the 3 Rd release (2003) of the JNR C62 with Hokkaido region detailing. These locomotives are quite rare outside Japan and are in a league of their own in terms of unsurpassed detail, functionality and innovation.

This loco has been carefully maintained and has been run only a handful of times.

This locomotive is butane fired, with an upgraded ceramic gas burner. The optional coal firing grate and other tools are included with the sale. The C62 comes equipped with a sight glass, pressure gauge cylinder drains, axle and hand pumps, a fuel tank heater and boiler blow down valve as standard.

Here's a great chance to get one of these in excellent condition. Locomotive comes with the original box manuals and accessories for coal firing.

This locomotive is alcohol fired and is equipped with a hand pump in the tender, custom fitted by TRS. It has also had the graphite yarn on the pistons replaced with rulon piston rings for longevity and boiler insulation/wicks replaced as a matter of course.

Roundhouse can now confirm that radio controlled steam regulation with on board rechargeable batteries is an optional extra on the basic series Peggie.
