It was wonderful to attend the summit in last week. We appreciated the fact that the governor spoke to open the conference. Each of the speakers added so much to the overall new technologies experience, and of course, it was great to be in the same room with fellow participants, rather than sitting in our own little zoom windows across the country.

We enjoyed our time networking with others at the conference, and our Administrative Assistant, Jamie Sohn was even interviewed while hosting at our exhibition booth. “I didn’t expect to have so much to say,” said Sohn, “but when asked about the value of these conferences to NC transportation professionals, I knew that they were priceless. Where else do you get to learn state-of- the- art best practices, and then go talk about what you’ve just learned while eating lunch together? We are a community, and COVID19 has reminded us to appreciate the events that were just ‘normal’ before?”

We’re glad that we were able to be there with our community. Hope to see you at the next event!

When not at work, Jamie enjoys riding her unicycle, playing piano, and watching sports on the couch with her cat.

Job Description
POSITION SUMMARY

Under the direction of management, the Groundskeeper is responsible for performing grounds, janitorial, and maintenance services to ensure excellent curb appeal and quality of the property. Must have at least one year of landscaping or grounds maintenance experience. Must be able to pass a background check.

Maintenance Services

Perform preventive maintenance, repairs, inspections and janitorial services as assigned.

Inspect grounds, collect and remove all trash and debris; perform general landscaping.

Previous experience using general landscaping techniques and equipment

Report any damage or safety hazards to supervisor or management.

Must maintain a professional appearance

Be courteous and helpful to staff members, guests, vendors, etc.

Perform other duties as required

Education: High school diploma or GED highly preferred; strong English verbal and written communication skills

Job Type: Part-time

Salary: $10.00 to $12.00 /hour
