Partners Eric Beyer (31 years of experience) and Tony Lee (35 years of experience) met while working for General Electric’s Consumer Electric Business Operation. Tony Lee was a model maker, developing engineering prototypes and ID models; Eric Beyer was an industrial designer. Eric left GE taking a position at Playskool as a design director, then off to Roadmaster Inc. before starting his own design consulting business in 1992. In 1994, Beyer, toying with the idea of starting a model shop contacted Tony Lee to see what he thought of the idea; a month later, they were cleaning out Tony’s garage to set up their first shop and purchasing their first machining center. The business was a huge success! soon out grew the old garage, moving to a larger facility to accommodate the workload. Today, Copesetic is looking to the future with new plans to relocate yet one more time, continuing their ongoing efforts to better service their customers, fast, efficiently, and meet the demands of a growing company.
