The floor turned out great!!!

6" in the parts dept. (north half of building), 8" in the shop, 12" where the two big lathes will set (south end of building along the wall), pad is 6' x 36' x 12" and then 18" thick under the big drill press, that pad is 6' x 12' x 18", that's just south of the big shop door ( the opening you see on the west wall when you drive by)

The new store is coming along!

All the underground plumbing and electrical is installed, the insulated rat wall is in, now the concrete floor is going in.

Parts dept floor is poured, 6". They saw cut it today and put a sealer/hardener on it, they will buff it next week.

Also the shop floor is going in next week.

That will be 8" plus more under certain machines like the drill press, that will have 12" - 18" under it or if there's no conduit in the way. Wouldn't mind a few 24" x 42" columns under it if there's room.
Sounds like overkill but we looked up the weight of it this afternoon, just the weight of the base machine for mine is 22,100 lbs, that don't include the electric motor, the side frame or the two Tee Slot tables, that will add just over 2000 lbs more.

Got to use the Bridgeport horizontal attachment today fixing the part that holds the bar n chain on a log processor.
Nic welded it and I cut it back to size to tightly fit the new bar, then drill the holes deeper so we can install studs instead of using hex head bolts.
