⚡ DEHN America's Mark Hendricks and Alejandro Espinosa joined colleagues from DEHN Japan at ICLP 2026 in Sapporo, Japan.

A highlight of the conference was Mark's presentation, "Assessment of Electromagnetic and Thermal Stresses in Reinforced Concrete of a Hydroelectric Dam Under Direct Lightning Current Using XGSLab."

We were also proud to see our colleague, Dr. Brocke, present his work on DEHNdetect coil parameters, contributing to ongoing advancements in lightning protection and measurement technology.

We’re proud to share that DEHN's Mark Hendricks will be speaking at the 38th International Conference on Lightning Protection in Sapporo, Japan — the world’s leading conference on lightning protection.

His presentation, “Risk Analysis for Dam Structure Using IEC 62305 Methods,” explores lightning risk assessment for critical hydroelectric infrastructure and the importance of enhanced protection measures for aging dam systems.
