Process Control Seminar: Register! June 10-11th
Have you faced a problem that comes and goes even though you didn’t change anything? Do you have parts that run at 95% yield one week and 62% the next? Do your scrap rates rise and fall with the seasons?

If you answered “Yes” to any of these questions, Process Control is for you! The ICI’s Process Control Seminar will demonstrate sensible tools you can use to identify and reduce variation in your process, leading to predictable results and less scrap.

Our team of industry veterans from foundries and suppliers will share the knowledge they have accumulated through years of hands-on experience. Join us in Cleveland on June 10th and 11th to learn how to apply these methods in your own plant - with tools that will help at all levels from operator to technician, engineer, manager, and executive.

AM4IC Webinar May 20: Improved Process to Burn Out Printed Patterns

Except for printed wax patterns, all printed patterns must be burned out of the shell. To ensure complete combustion, each mold is typically vented to allow for airflow through the mold during burnout. After burnout, the shell is cooled to room temperature to remove any ash remaining in the shell and patch vents, typically adding a day to the process. BCT Cast Products has developed a process to achieve complete burnout without having to cool the shell to remove ash and patch vents. Their process saves time and labor compared to the normal process while reducing the risk of failure.
