Something really different. This guy needed a new gas tank, but he said he wanted it to look "industrial" so it matches the rest of the engine. Looks pretty at home I think. For some reason I like making gas tanks. This was my first TIG project that I sold. No leaks.

Connor’s go cart 2.0. Altered the roll cage because Connor outgrew it, made new seats, added full harnesses, new ATV front suspension, new exhaust, front hood and grill, and last but not least, the biggest ATV tires I could stuff on it. I wonder what 3.0 will look like?

Getting ready to get a TIG, started looking around at my welding stuff and it was getting very cluttered. Decided I need a cart for everything, not 4 different carts for everything. Got the cart and the tall argon bottle used for $20, the bottle is even full! Modified the cart to fit the ARC standing up, the argon/CO2 and argon bottles on one end, all the support equipment and gloves and stuff, cut a VW wheel in half to keep the long arc wires neat, and there is still room for the TIG when I can afford to get it.

My first attempt at bomber seats for Connor. Had all the materials, just cost me welding wire and paint.

Progress on Connor's buggy, day 1, before lunch. We got an ATV front end to stop it from 3 wheeling whenever Connor turns abruptly, which is every time. He keeps asking me to make it faster but I said no until we make it handle safer. While it is apart we are doing bomber seats, better belts, and a few other upgrades. It's been great the last 2 years but let's make it better.

Been slacking on this build. Got the floor, seats, belts, and all 4 tires on though. I actually bought 4 new tires for it! My first 3 ribs.

I got it working! I got an old pump with reservoir that runs off 115 volts, just put a plug on the end, bought all the hose and fitting from Tractor Supply, hook it all up and off we go. The pump is very compact and tucks in right next to my workbench behind my grinder. Total cost of project came in around $110. Just have to bolt it to the floor, make some safety brackets in case it ever comes down unexpectantly, and figure out what I need for blocks or brackets to pick up cars that aren't perfectly flat on the bottom like this buggy.

Well, immediately after making a comment that I can't afford a lift, I got a message basically saying "I have a 4000 lb flat table lift missing a bunch of parts, come get it if you want it." So I shot out to check it out and it jumped in the back of my truck and followed me home. It is 2 feet wide by 8 feet long, and 9" high. My lowest vehicle is the drag car at 2 1/2" clearance, so I built these crazy runners to drive onto and clear the lift. I am going to make retractable wheels on them so after the car is on the lift, I can pick up one end of them and "wheel barrow" them out of the way, or just leave them if they aren't in the way. I had the wood ramps. All I have to do is get a hydraulic pump and build controls for it, and figure out how to attach blocks and/or arms. Much thanks for the donation Mr. Leavon Green! It will be used for the next 30 years or more I'm sure!
