1972, after working 19 years for the same company, George Golis embarked on a new adventure. He started a machine shop in his basement with only a few customers. Golis’ first machines were two Swiss automatic screw machines, a Bridgeport and a hand lathe. In 1978, Golis moved the business into a larger building as customer contracts increased. In 1988 the business was incorporated and became Golis Machine Inc. After years of doing quality work and building long standing customer relationships, George retired, and his daughter Rosemary Golis and her husband, Will Franssen, became sole company officers. continued to grow, which led the company to build a new facility in Montrose and relocate there in March of 1998. An addition was built in 2002, creating a 12,600 square foot building. is proud to continue offering precision, high quality work.
