Monticello Merc

Monticello Merc General Hardware store carrying fabric, tools, plumbing, electrical, paint, and a Mini Golf course.

Monticello Mercantile is the oldest continually operating business in Monticello. It had its beginnings as the Monticello Cooperative Mercantile in a log store in 1892. It changed ownership and locations a few times, and has been at its current location since 1956. General merchandise store specializing in hardware, tools, plumbing, electrical, paint, and sporting goods. We also have batteries, bicycle supplies, toys, gifts, souvenirs, housewares, greeting cards, school and office supplies and a large selection of fabric. To top it all off, we have just installed a 2 acre bulk yard with items for sale by the yard from LavaMax Soil and Nutrimulch soil amendments, to decorative rock like white granite and black and red lava rock.!

We've extended our hours to 8 AM–9 PM to better accommodate the firefighters serving our community. While they're the reason for the change, these extra hours are for everyone. Beginning today through July 24, we'll be open later each evening. If these extended hours continue to meet the needs of our firefighters and community, we'll consider extending them beyond July 24. Stop by anytime!
