The Role
The Accounting Specialist is responsible for driving results in a fast-paced environment in the functional areas of accounts receivable, accounts payable, and general ledger, and in other accounting areas in line with our established guidelines. Specific responsibilities include:
* Processing customer invoices and payments received and/or vendor bills and disbursements
* Analyzing accounts receivable and/or accounts payables accounts to maintain to ensure system accuracy and completeness
* Preparing bank deposits using remote scanner and making physical deposits as needed
* Assisting with bank reconciliation processes
* Supporting reconciliation and analysis of other subledgers to the associated general ledger balances and providing analysis in variances in accounts
* Contributing to maintenance and updating of policies and procedures.
* Handling other accounting and administrative to provide professional support of daily operations
The Ideal Candidate
* Three or more years of proven experience as a full-charge bookkeeper or comparable responsible accounting positions
* Solid knowledge of accounting processes and principles, including GAAP accounting principles
* Strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and ability to follow up on multiple issues
* Comfortable working with and adhering to deadlines
* Strong verbal and written communication skills
* Effective problem-solving skills
* Ability to influence, lead and use relationship-building skills
* Strong knowledge of accounting systems and Microsoft Office applications
* Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality and professionalism
