If you didn’t see the article in the Monroe Times last month, there was finally an update on the break in that occurred back in June. The blood sample taken from the safe came back with a match finally.

MONROE — Detectives used smears of blood left on a safe to identify the suspect in the June burglary of a rural Monroe business, according to a criminal complaint filed Nov. 2 in Green County Circuit Court.

Last night we had an unwelcomed guest. He let himself in a rear window around 11:45pm and was helping himself for over 2 hours. Cameras showed out on the road a car with the same headlight patterned and profile kept driving back and forth while he was searching the place. He attempted to steal the safe to no success but did make off with an assortment of newer tools. He also left behind some blood evidence on the safe that has been collected by the Green County Sheriffs.

If anyone recognizes anything about this person, happened to have driven by the shop last night and saw the car, or sees any tools come up for sale cheap please let us or the sheriffs know.

Tools included an assortment of dewault impacts and drivers. Inch and metric gear wrench ratchet wrench sets. One will be missing from the set because it was on the bench. There was also some other racthets and things taken as well.
