State Utility Contractors hosted its 6th equipment rodeo for Union County Public High Schools, providing students with hands-on experience in construction equipment operation. The event was a success, offering both fun and career-education opportunities. Students operated excavators, skid steers, and more under professional guidance. State Utility Project Manager Zach Wooten visited Jr. K Students at Metrolina Christian Academy on Construction Day this past Friday to demonstrate how water travels from their homes to the water treatment facility using marbles and PVC pipe. 💧🌟 State Utility firmly believes in the benefit of giving back and community engagement! It is never too early to educate our youth on careers in construction!

📣 Exciting news! State Utility Contractors had an absolute blast being an exhibitor at this year's 2023 NC Rural Water Conference! 🎉 We had an amazing time connecting with and engaging in conversations with all the incredible municipalities, utility authorities, and vendors present. 💪🗣️
The conference was an excellent platform for us to showcase our services and learn more about the unique challenges faced by rural communities when it comes to water and wastewater management. 💧💡 It was truly inspiring to witness the dedication and innovation displayed by everyone involved in ensuring clean water access for all.
We extend our appreciation to all the attendees who visited our booth, shared their experiences, and showed genuine interest in our work. Your valuable insights and interactions have fueled our drive to continuously improve and provide top-notch solutions for water infrastructure projects. 🤝💙

State Utility Contractors held its 5th equipment rodeo in partnership with Carolina CAT, for Union County Public High Schools and it was a great success! This unique event gave students the opportunity to operate construction equipment and learn about skilled trades and construction jobs.

The equipment rodeo was a fun and educational experience that we were thrilled to host again this year. Students had the chance to operate excavators, skid steers, and other machinery under the guidance of experienced professionals, who provided guidance and answered questions.

State Utility Contractors is proud to be a part of the Union County community, and we're committed to supporting education while promoting skilled trades. We were grateful to have Carolina CAT as our sponsor, and together, we were able to create a memorable and educational event for all.

We believe that it's important to expose young people to the skilled trades, and we're grateful for the opportunity to do so in such a fun and interactive way.

State Utility was delighted to participate and serve as a sponsor for the 2023 UNC Charlotte Construction Management & Civil Engineering Technology Awards Banquet this weekend held at the NASCAR Hall Of Fame. We have been a dedicated supporter of this excellent program for several years and will continue to be so in the future. Congratulations to all the winners and upcoming graduates this year. Our Project Engineer and recent graduate, Bailey Shinn (pictured left), and Marketing and Recruiting Manager, Kris Hannah (pictured right), represented State Utility at the event. We are proud to employ many graduates of this outstanding program.

State Utility is currently constructing the Steele Creek Force Main Replacement project for York County, SC. This is a progressive design-build project that consists of 36,000 LF of 30" ductile iron pipe! Part of this project includes a 1,300 LF directional bore under the Catawba river to make our final tie-in to the Manchester Creek Waste Water Treatment Plant in Rock Hill, SC.

A big CONGRATULATIONS is in order to State Utility and the project team that completed the Cary/Apex Water Treatment Facility Ozone Systems Updates project in Cary, NC! Their hard work and dedication were recognized at this year's Carolina Association of General Contractors Annual Convention by being awarded the Carolinas AGC Pinnacle Award for best Utility project under $3 Million. This award is the most prestigious recognition in the Carolinas construction industry and honors the work of general contractors and their projects' key partners. The Cary/Apex Water Treatment Facility Ozone Systems Updates project is an example of what can be achieved when a team of dedicated professionals comes together to tackle a complex and challenging task. We would like to extend our heartfelt congratulations to all the project team members and acknowledge the hours of planning, hard work, and dedication that went into making this project a success. This is State Utilities' fourth Pinnacle award!
