JD Peterkin Co. JD Peterkin Co. It all started in the early 1900s at a Portland location as a partnership known as Peterkin & Schoeder The Horseshoers.

In the early 1920s the blacksmith shop was relocated to Molalla, Oregon. Peterkin & Sons was established and ready to offer this small town everything from traditional blacksmith services to fixing the cast iron pan and making gardening tools. The business has evolved into what is known today as JD Peterkin Co. or “Peterkin’s” by the locals and long time customers. From horseshoes, gardening tools

to log trucks, heavy & farm equipment this family business is still going strong offering its customers their unique welding services in a variety of methods and their top notch customer service which offers each customer a down home experience.

In a time that small businesses are struggling to stay afloat we are blown away at those who seem to think it's okay to help themselves to things that don't belong to them!!!!

We are SEEKING INFORMATION on our recent break in/robbery!!! In the early hours of 2am to 3am on Monday, March 30, 2026 our shop was broken into. During the break-in/robbery, we have found that an RM 250 Suzuki motorcycle (missing a kick start) was taken. If you are anyone you know may have information concerning this robbery, please message us.
