Deep Groove

Deep groove bearings are the most commonly used type of bearing. They’re comparatively easy to install and are easier to maintain than other bearing types. There are two kinds — single and double-row bearings, with either one or two rows of balls in each bearing. They are available with or without closures. Their low friction, low noise, and low vibration qualities make them a great bearing choice for carrying either axial or radial loads and rotating at high speeds.

While their sizes can vary according to the application, deep groove bearings are appropriate for light or heavy loads and some can withstand temperatures up to 660°F (350°C), making them ideal for industrial ovens and the metals industry.

Mader Bearing Supply carries deep groove bearings in a variety of sizes from FAG, Nachi, NTN, and SKF.

Ball Bearing VS Roller Bearing - What Are The Major Differences:

Roller bearings and ball bearings are both used to facilitate low-friction movement between two elements. The main difference between the two is in the contact surface area between the rolling elements and the inner and outer races. Roller bearings are ideal for applications with heavy radial loads, while ball bearings have a lower load capacity due to the smaller contact area. Ball bearings are more suitable for precision applications as they exhibit less deformation under load. Roller bearings perform better under shock and impact loading.
