For over 50 years, Challenge Testing has specialized in field testing, sampling, and non-destructive testing. We’re motivated to prove our name with every job.

With offices in Mobile, Tuscaloosa, and Saipan, we’re licensed in MS, AL, GA, FL, SC, CNMI, and Guam. From our South Alabama roots in the 1950’s, Challenge Engineering & Testing has grown to a portfolio of projects and partners throughout the Southeast and around the world. Field testing, sediment sampling and non-destructive testing has taken us from Taiwan to Tallahassee, FL and Guam to Gulfport, MS. We work in a variety of heavy industry groups including energy generation, shipbuilding, aerospace, marine, refining, and infrastructure. Governmental and private concerns represent commercial port and Corps of Engineers projects including Haiti to Puerto Rico; Dutch Harbor, Alaska; Miami; Taiwan; Guam, Gibraltar, Spain; Port of Trinidad; Freeport, Grand Bahama and more. We’re excited to welcome DaSean Little to Challenge Testing as a Geotechnical Drilling Assistant at our Mobile office!

Originally from Mobile, DaSean is looking forward to gaining hands-on experience, learning new skills, and growing his career with Challenge Testing. Outside of work, he enjoys working on cars, listening to music, staying active, and spending time with family and friends.

DaSean’s goal is to become a dependable member of the team, continue advancing within the company, and take on more responsibility as he grows.

Another busy day in the field! 👷‍♂️

Our drilling team is hard at work on a large geotechnical investigation with more than 40 planned boring locations. The crew is using auger drilling and collecting Shelby tube samples to obtain approximately 2 feet of undisturbed soil for evaluation.

Quality subsurface data starts with quality sampling!

Our Drilling Manager, Terry, recently helped install v***r wells on a project in Georgia!

V***r wells are used to monitor and help manage gases or v***rs that may be present beneath the ground, providing important information about subsurface environmental conditions.

Great work by Terry and the team in the field!

We’re excited to welcome Cody Osborne to the Challenge Testing team as a Driller in our Mobile office! Cody is originally from Clinton, South Carolina, and says Challenge Testing’s great leadership is what attracted him to the company.

Cody is looking forward to working with the team, getting to know everyone, and continuing to grow his skills. His goal is to learn more and take on bigger, more challenging projects.
Outside of work, Cody enjoys spending time with his wife and two boys and crappie fishing.

The best advice Cody has received is: “Always be open-minded and willing to learn something new.”
