Job description:
Identifying and marking buried utilities (natural gas, electric, etc. . .) by referencing utility prints and electronically find the utilities using specific locating devices. Daily contact with utility managers, excavation crews, homeowners and contractors discussing locate issues. Prioritize work by going through all locate requests to determine routing. Read and understand utility provided maps/prints to assist in identification of underground utilities.

95% of job time is spent in a field environment with some administrative work required. Exposure to field hazards such as walking on uneven terrain in dirt, grass or on streets and sidewalks. Occasional lifting of materials up to 50 pounds required. Requires up to 3 miles per day walking at least twice a week. Office hours and schedule may vary.

Job description
Duties and Responsibilities:

Responsible for completion of projects in a safe and timely manner.
Ensure equipment and components are always in good working condition. Perform both Pre and Post trip inspections for every job.
Operate hydro excavation equipment and hand tools. Assist with tank disposal.Assist with filling water tank.Locate underground natural gas and electric utilities, training will be provided. Set up and break down of equipment at job site. Assists with set-up of work zone barricades and signs for traffic control. Assist with truck repairs as needed.

Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities):

Follow safety rules, regulations, guidelines, policies, and site-specific safety plans when performing all activities.

Must be at least 21 years of age.

Ability to report to work on time each day, maintain an excellent attendance record, and work weekends upon request.

Must possess effective verbal and written communication skills.

Must have a positive attitude and good work ethic.

Ability to understand 811 ticket process and permitting.

Ability to work outdoors in any weather conditions on a regular basis including extreme cold and heat.

Ability to lift up to 90 lbs.

Ability to stand, crouch, kneel, crawl, and perform other related physical activities for long periods of time.

Must be able to pass DOT required drug test and background check.

Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers, supervisors, general public, and contractors.

Job description:
The Heavy Equipment Operator is responsible for performing a variety of labor duties to include operating and transporting heavy and specialized equipment for the repair, construction, and maintenance of natural gas pipelines.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Operates and maintains a variety of heavy and specialized equipment such as dump truck, front-end loader, skid loader, backhoe, compact excavator, and trencher and specialized equipment such as crane truck (approximately 20-ton), grader, track excavator, bulldozer, and track loader.
Excavates and backfills trenches in order to complete repairs.
Transports equipment, tools, and materials to and from job sites.
Loads and unloads materials from trucks.
Stocks vehicle with necessary equipment and material.
Cleans, organizes, and maintains facilities, tools, and equipment.
Updates work orders in computerized maintenance management system and daily reports to document service performed or completed.
Observes and promotes all established safety procedures.
Interprets as-built drawings, schematics, block maps and construction plans.
Assists with set-up of work zone barricades and signs for traffic control.
Conducts inspections of equipment and reports mechanical concerns/issues for repair.
Assists in training crew on proper usage of tools and equipment.
Provides training for Texas Class "A" commercial driver's license.
Provides guidance to crew in the absence of the Foreperson.
May perform manual labor work related to maintenance and construction.

Supervise the day-to-day field operations of the assigned work team. The field supervisor’s responsibilities include managing workloads, completing field audits, and assisting technicians with locate issues. Responsible for managing equipment and supplies.
