BUILDING CONNECTIONS. IN MORE WAYS THAN ONE.

Adding structural engineering to our services strengthens connections between disciplines, bringing architectural vision and engineering expertise together.

But for us, it's also strengthened a connection that began 13 years ago!

Back in 2013, these three began their professional journeys as interns at Ackerman-Estvold. Two stayed and continued building their careers with us, while the third took a different path.

Now, with the addition of structural engineering, the original trio is back together!

Twenty-three years ago, Ackerman-Estvold was born. We have had the honor of growing, in both spaces and places, while expanding our services to meet the needs of our clients and communities. We are proud of the work we've done throughout the years and also celebrate the FUN we have had along the way!

Ackerman-Estvold civil engineers Tyler and Gavin attended the Boise State University College of Engineering Career Fair earlier this week. We welcomed students entering the engineering, computer science, and construction management fields and shared our opportunities, including full-time and internship positions.

Our Idaho office is located in Garden City and serves the Boise metro, surrounding communities, and rural areas in civil engineering and surveying.

Thank you, Minot Association of Builders, for hosting a wonderful 'Women in Building' event yesterday. A few of our AE teammates from the Minot office participated in the panel discussion and provided great insight into their roles within the industry. 👏👊

A wall in our Minot office states exactly what we hope our employees will emulate: GIVE BACK. And that is exactly what Jett and Jessica have done!

Both Jay "Jett" Skar (Civil Engineering) and Jessica R. Egge (Architecture) attended their final session of the Community Leadership Institute today, an eight-week program offered through the Minot Area Chamber EDC. As part of the program, participants also work together to raise funds for a local charity. This year's CLI group selected the Backpack Buddies program through Souris Valley United Way.

We are proud to announce that Team Jessica/Jett raised $10,000 for Backpack Buddies!!! WOW!!

Jessica and Jett would like to personally thank everyone who helped them achieve their fundraising goal. It is through your generosity that local programs like Backpack Buddies can continue to grow and thrive, making a meaningful difference for hundreds of families throughout our communities!

Ackerman-Estvold is expanding our services to include structural engineering! With that news, we’re excited to officially welcome Travis Olson, PE, as Senior Structural Engineer and leader of our new structural engineering group!

Based in our Fargo office, Travis brings more than 10 years of experience designing the structures behind retail, education, agricultural, housing and mixed-use projects.

Adding structural engineering means another discipline working alongside our architects, civil engineers and other technical professionals, giving us even more opportunities to collaborate and provide comprehensive solutions for the clients and communities we serve.
