Another of the projects I completed this summer. This was a large cor-ten planter meant to serve as a planter as well as a barrier/fence along the back of the yard. Its 12 feet long, 2.5 feet tall and 1.5 feet deep. Its going to look great planted with tall veggies.

Its been a while since I've posted to Artologee and apologize for that. I've been spending the off-season working on some pieces of original artwork for the garden. I'm looking forward to creating more original pieces for the garden. This one I call "Cascade"

I'll post some pictures of some of the projects I did over the summer later this week.

The base of this wooden obelisk was badly rotten and unstable. The client briefly considered replacing the entire structure. But the upper part was in decent shape and she loved the distressed look. Replacing it just wasn't a viable option.

The solution? I fabricated a steel base that attaches to intact wood that the structure can rest on. Steel is in contact with the ground but what you see is the charm of the distressed wood. A pretty successful and quick little project.

I'm excited to share the results of my first big client project. I was asked to do a raised bed and plant supports.

The first photo is the completed project, the second is a detail of the plant supports - the client wanted a prairie style motif to go with her house and the third is the proposal sketch.

All in all pretty happy with how this turned out. I will post pictures later this summer when it is all planted out.

Recently completed a bonsai pot for a customer. 8.5" long, 5" wide and 3" high and made of stainless steel.

A small repair job for a friend. Welding is welding after all. These signs are cast iron and the one on the right was broken over the winter, probably by a snow blower.

I recently completed this irregularly shaped planter. Trying to get away from steel planters that are always square boxes. I think this would look great with some succulents and maybe something that trails over the side. Anxiously waiting for warmer weather so I can take more "action photos".
