Creating future memories for campers of all abilities through an unforgettable collaboration.

On May 4, Friends Camp Courage in Maple Lake, MN officially opened the doors to a new recreation center designed for adults and children with disabilities, providing accessible camp experiences, facilities, and amenities, like a zero-entry pool and gymnasium.

Even the rain couldn't put a damper on the cheerful and competitive spirit of last Friday's ASCE Concrete Canoe Competition! Thanks to the team of volunteers, including VAA structural engineers Ryan Olsen and Hunter Chard, the event was smooth sailing (or should we say smooth rowing?).

The competition was held at Lake Hiawatha in Minneapolis and organized by the University of St. Thomas and the University of Minnesota, both institutions that continue to guide up-and-coming engineering students into proficient and passionate professionals, just like Ryan and Hunter!

Also, a big shoutout to Minnesota Concrete Council for their continued support of this event and all matters regarding the cast-in-place concrete industry!
