When the first mural was destroyed in the August 2020 derecho, Mingo Hometown Pride worked with partners and donors to install this public art piece for the second time.
Brian Wonderly of I Made You a Art of designed and installed the mural on the downtown building owned by Dave Deaton.
Support was provided by the Jasper Community Foundation, the Geisler-Penquite Foundation, the City of Mingo, the Koehler Family Foundation, Nathan Schmidt, Mingo Products, Inc., MidAmerican Energy CARES grant, Mingo Women's Auxiliary, Mingo Women's Improvement Organization, Denco Highway Construction, the Maher family, Crozier family, Gannon family, Berriman family, Phelps family and Janet Johnson, along with Mingo Hometown Pride volunteers who donate their time and labor on a continual basis.
