Journeyman/Journeywoman Tool and Die Maker

Job Description

Acro Metal Stamping is looking to expand our tool room. We are looking for a person to do the following:

1. Build new and repair stamping dies.

2. Able to run grinders, milling machines, radial drill press, Haas CNC mill, lathe and machining center.

3. Programming experience with mastercam, solid works and running Mitsubishi wire machines a plus.

4. Analyze specifications, lay out metal stock, set up and operate machine tools, fit and assemble parts to make and repair dies, cutting tools, jigs, fixtures, gauges, and machinist hand tools.

5. Conduct test runs with completed tools or dies to ensure that parts meet specifications and make adjustments as necessary.

6. File, grind, shim, and adjust different parts to properly fit them together.

7. Work from blueprints, sketches, models, and specifications to plan sequences of operations for fabricating tools, dies, or assemblies.

8. Assume responsibility for quality of workmanship and dimensional accuracy of work performed.

9. Must have a great work ethic, attendance, communication skills and minimum of 2 years experience in die making.

10. Must be state indentured .

Acro Metal Stamping, a job shop for over 76 Years is expanding and looking for a Toolroom help. Must be able to due the following:

1. Perform machine setups and operate to produce a variety of tool, die and fixture parts having close tolerance dimensions.

2. Operate Haas CNC mill ,lathe, and machining center.

3. Run surface grinders, drill presses, cutoff saws, and radial drill press.

4. Work from part drawings and specifications.

5. Assemble fixtures and dies.

6. Use a variety of precision measuring instruments.

7. Programing with mastercam and solidworks.

8. Running Mitsubish wire machines a plus.

9. Fit and assemble parts to make and repair dies, cutting tools, jigs, fixtures, gauges and machinists tools.

10. Must have great work ethic, attendance and communication skills.

11. Experience in toolroom or stamping company.
