i recently had the pleasure to design some extra special walnut built-ins for a wonderful client in florida. she wanted to fill the space around her fireplace with something more suitable than the freestanding bookshelves she has had for "much too long." the scale on these cabinets is mind-boggling compared to most other jobs i've done. eleven feet tall to balance the staggering twenty foot ceiling in this family room. (scope the pic of 6 foot plus tim inside the upper!) excellent ex*****on on the build with Beveled Timber Custom Woodwork at his shop near tampa. this was a rare stain and clear coat job that we are both super proud of. uppers hide the main stereo speakers behind a stamped aluminum panel with fabric backing and display some curios in the lit openings. the lowers have raised panels with custom mouldings and pocket door slides to house the family dog bed as well as the a/v equipment. this is by far a win for walnut!

two more jobs to wrap up the travel work with the amazing Beveled Timber Custom Woodwork:
a small entryway built-in bench with three drawer storage. one in the middle and one on each end. this is planned to be used as seating for a small breakfast table.
the second is a custom sliding door that will get painted by the client. we grooved and housed a thick panel in dadoes all around and then resawed some facing boards to complete the look. this allowed for a budget-friendly and super stable door. (baby for size reference only😁)

another fun-in-the-sun florida project with Beveled Timber Custom Woodwork. we added some decorative functionality to a dining area with paneled wainscoting. top shelf and hooks for storage. the wall buffet is a reclaimed piece of pine from an old timber-framed structure and looks great with the customer supplied corbels.

regional wall installation using sub flooring from the belleview-biltmore hotel. some gorgeous heart pine originally installed about 1897, it was amazingly dense and resinous. it's a nice testament to the history of the area. (project with Beveled Timber Custom Woodwork)
