Max Weiss Co LLC

Max Weiss Co LLC Max Weiss Company is an industry leader in bending, forming and fabricating structural steel and other metals for a wide variety of industries.

Since 1946, Max Weiss Company has focused on "Setting the Curve in Excellence" ... and will never stop. Setting the Curve in Excellence for Seven Decades … and Counting

“Humble beginnings” can be an overused term. Yet use it we will, as it accurately describes the small local blacksmith shop where Max Weiss Company started in 1946. Seven decades and four generations of family ownership later, Max

Weiss Company is a market leader in large metal forming, large rolled structural steel products, and hot-formed and fabricated metal shapes. We’ve set the curve in excellence by forming metals to the tightest radii in the industry, with minimal distortion and maximum consistency. Our value-added services save customers time and money by keeping the entire production process under one roof. Still, we’ve never forgotten what originally made that small blacksmith shop thrive: the human element. Hiring the best talent, and investing in our personnel, ensures our customers get the best possible quality in every bend and every weld. The human element carries over into service, too. We never forget that, while our work involves endless blueprints and numbers, we’re really dealing with people. Friendly, responsive customer service is the standard at Max Weiss Company. Some of our customers have done business with us for decades. We value all our customer relationships tremendously. Their needs drive our company. We never stop striving to exceed their expectations. At Max Weiss Company, the basic operating principles of service and quality were forged in those humble beginnings back in 1946. They’ve only grown stronger over time … and will always guide us to set the curve in excellence.

Amid the shower of sparks, Alan Mathison, a metalworking wizard at Max Weiss Co LLC, is cutting a 2" notch (1/2" deep) into this 6" x 2" formed channel piece. Before ever turning on the plasma cutter, he carefully measured (and remeasured) to ensure the cut's accurate placement. Prepare for video Thursday!

Measuring up! Phil Steinke , a metal forming craftsman at Max Weiss Co LLC, measures and marks cord height on a 21" wide-fl**ge beam, with a 3/4" fl**ge width. The beam, weighing 44 pounds per foot, will be formed to a 126' inside radius. This isn't "measure twice, bend once" - it's "measure as many times as necessary!"

We had an exciting delivery last week at Max Weiss Co LLC: a well-maintained Round R7 machine, purchased at auction in Liberty, Mo.! The powerful metal roller weighs nearly 18 tons! Its arrival was preceded by construction of a square pit to hold the behemoth, similar to installation of our DAVI Angle Roll MCP nearly 10 years ago (https://lnkd.in/ddGiBjwi). This was certainly not your "everyday delivery!"

Nick Krenke, a metal working maestro at Max Weiss Co LLC, is forming this 4" x 6" x 5/16" channel piece to a 560' 8" outside radius. The bend is so slight you have to look hard to see it. Nick not only has the vision to do so, but the skill and experience to make it reality.
