This is a job I did awhile back,on this one I used my shop built bore welder and boring machine it works very well I actually use it more than my climax unit ,it’s smaller and easier to get into small bores .

Haven’t posted in a while,got hacked again anyway here’s on I did a couple months ago pretty well shot ,it required making a couple new bosses and welding and boring

This looks simple but it was not ,it’s the rudder assembly of a ferry boat,3 ft of head room ,nothing level,steel beams to walk on and oil and water on the floor,this was the first set of holes three more sets to do .

Something a little different Today ,John Deere 120 the main boom pin bores ,it had expander pin type setup and one of the collet on the end gave out and destroyed both bores

Finished up the caterpillar 966 this morning a total of 32 bores ,a lot of welding and boring I will be starting on 988 in two weeks , much larger machine

Small coupler for a mini excavator 45 mm , i hand welded and tried out my new rotational drive unit, i switched a servo motor , I like it it’s half the weight and size and works nicely

Front and rear steer cylinder bores on the 966 cat loader I’ve been working on ,finally finished today ended up being 25 bore’s total . they told me today there’s two machines coming needing the same thing .

This is a boom and the bucket that they ran for months with a without a bushing ,I had to do the bucket and boom what a mess lol
