What's up guys!

Big shout to out Sven for sending over these photos and videos! He installed our Ross Racing B58TU Check Valve Inserts and coupled it with our Ross Racing Square Competition Catch Can.

For those that want to still retain their engine cover, as you can see, it is still possible with only slight modifications. Sven did a really clean install and only needed to cut the engine cover in one area.

No reason to sacrifice venting for "looks" by using a baby AN6 hose just so you can route it under the engine cover! Especially for the guys chasing 600hp+, venting through an AN6 hose on the oil cap is a HUGE bottleneck.

You wouldn't run a 2" diameter exhaust on any 400hp+ car so why would you vent crankcase gases through a baby AN6 hose on a B58?? Do it right the first time and go Ross Racing!

Our kit was designed for Form AND Function vs just Form from those guys. This is why our OCC kit is the only one on the market with a Baffled Oil Cap that also uses our first of its kind, custom Check Valve Banjo setup that only vents under boost. No need to worry about pulling in unmetered air and potentially creating a vacuum leak with an open style banjo; especially if you're stock PCV or run Check Valve Inserts. So again, do it right the first time and go Ross Racing!

As always, thank you guys for your continued support!

What’s up guys! Matt from Ross Racing releasing another first of its kind which is the Gen1 Check Valve Inserts!

As most already know, the Gen1 valve cover ports have an odd shape that make it difficult to design inserts for. I finally got around to designing check valve inserts for the Gen1 guys that will fit these ports! What this means is, there will be vacuum in the crankcase during idle for stock PCV function but the check valves will be force shut under boost which will in turn delete the PCV under boost. This will also address it from the head so the valve cover will NEVER see any boost!

The best part is that it can be ran in tandem with my VU Breather Cap so that you’re also able to vent properly from the lowside of the PCV without running the risk of having a vacuum leak! Running them with the VU cap ensures the highside port isn’t the only port venting all the excess crankcase pressure so there will be less crankcase pressure in the system overall!

The VU Breather cap was the first of it’s kind but the downside to this was that it still allowed boost to enter the valve cover through the plastic welded channels which meant the valve cover still saw boost and could still fail internally (plastic welds cracking). This eliminates that risk!

Along the way I also decided to improve on the VU Cap design and while I kept the overall Cap Billet AL6061, the middle prong is now made of CNC’d ASTM A36 material. For those not familiar, ASTM A36 is a very strong carbon steel that is even stronger than SS304. The downside to carbon steel is that it is corrosive but my simple fix was to have it nickel plated. This will prevent any risk of rusting or corrosion while also giving it a pretty cool look imo! This improvement is meant to minimize the risk of the middle prong snapping from improper install.

I also added the option for a Click & Lock version of the VU Breather Cap which of the two, the Click & Lock Version will be easier to align and install for the less experienced installers.

As always, thank you guys for your constant support and look out for my next post for the S58 guys!

Introducing the first of its kind, the B58 Gen1 Check Valved PCV Breather Cap, aka, the PCV Breather VU (Version Ultimate)!

This new breather cap will be a game changer in more ways than one! Similar to our B58TU Check Valve Inserts, our PCV Breather VU during idle will still allow vacuum in the crankcase. Under boost is a different story. Once boost tries to get past the check valve setup, it will force the valve/ball shut which will prevent any boost from entering the crankcase. In layman’s terms, stock PCV during idle with vacuum in the crankcase but under boost the PCV will be deleted! Best of both worlds! This will also mean little to no smell!

With this setup there are special requirements though. With there being vacuum in the crankcase, you cannot just run a regular open style banjo as this will create a vacuum leak. This is why we designed a special check valve/PCV AN10 Banjo that will stay closed during idle to prevent a boost leak but open under boost to ensure the excess crankcase pressure is able to VTA! Two custom designs working in tandem with each other to create the ultimate solution to PCV issues! Sounds simple enough once explained but anything but, otherwise others would have already thought of it!

This kit will come wit the ability to either vent through 1 port (other port will be capped) or vent through 2 ports. As mention, the AN10 banjo supplied for each port will have a check valve/PCV function that will stay closed during idle (vacuum in the crankcase) and opened under boost to expel excess crankcase pressure. Best of both worlds!

ONLY COMPATIBLE w/ motors with a functioning PCV! If Headports have been plugged, this Breather cap will not function as intended because there will no longer be any vacuum in the crankcase.

As always, thank you guys for your constant support!

What’s up guys! Matt from Ross Racing here with what I hope will be a huge announcement!

After months of testing and tweaking, we finally feel it’s ready!

Introducing the Ross Racing B58TU OCC Kit!

This kit, we feel will be the best on the market and it won’t even be close!

Our kit will include our tried-&-true Ross Racing Competition Catch can which have been performing beautifully on the Gen1 B58s running our valve covers, with some guys running 45+ psi of boost! You will also noticed that we have designed an all new squared Competition Catch Can which was deisgned similar to our standard circular version but squared! One more option to choose from depending on your preference! When it comes to venting and baffle design, you won’t find a better option out there than our Competition Catch Cans!

You’ll also notice that there are a variety of OCC braces. Like I said, we have been testing! While not pictured, we have an OCC setup that will fit a variety of cars including the BMW G2X, G30, G42, G01, G02 and Supra A90/A91! This will also include a top mount OCC setup for most options!

Our kit will be the most complete kit on the market and will also offer the most venting in the safest way possible! So no, we will NOT be venting from the lower CCV Port because the point of our kit is to solve crankcase/blowby issues, not introduce new ones! Most of you have already seen my spiel on the idiocy of venting from the lower CCV Port so I won’t stay on that topic but I would like to also introduce you guys to my new, first of its kind, AN10 to AN10 PCV/Check Valve Banjo fitting. This new banjo will attach to my best in class Oil Cap Breather and allow for venting only under boost while staying shut during idle. If you’re stock PCV, this will prevent the risk of a vacuum leak during idle and if you’ve deleted the PCV, during idle, venting from the valve cover PCV port will be sufficient!

Our kit will also only use AN10 hoses as we want to ensure your car is able to vent as much crankcase pressure as possible! No bottlenecks!

As always, thank you guys for you constant support! Means the world!

What's up guys!

Want to introduce to you guys my new B58TU Valve Cover Check Valve Inserts!

Now the question you’ll ask is how these work and the answer is very simple!

Unlike Block Off Pins and Headport Taps which delete the PCV completely by completely closing off the headports, my CVIs (Check Valve Inserts) do more! My CVIs are spring and check ball loaded and will be open during idle by vacuum. What this means is that during idle, there will still be vacuum in the crankcase. Block Off Pins are a lazy design in comparison!

I’m not the first to do this but I designed mine to be more unique. I’ve designed mine to be pressed in like the others but mine is also fully removable. To keep it in place mine uses custom FKM (Viton) O’Rings and there will also but a small hole on the sides in which you can use a pick tool to remove them if needed. On the TU valve cover ports the middle port is also shorter than the two outer ones so I also added adapters to help keep everything flush once fully inserted. The outside adapters will be labeled “L/R” meaning “Left or Right” port and the middle Adapter will be labeled “M” meaning “Middle” port. Very simple install! Just make sure that with the valve cover upside down to inserts the CVIs, the logo and labels on the parts should be rightside up (readable to you) when inserting them.

If it’s a new valve cover then lubing the orings will help but if it’s a used valve cover, lubing the orings will not be as necessary.

With this mod, the more venting from the valve cover the better so if you haven't already, this would be rhe perfect time to start venting from the oil cap with my Oil Cap Breather!

As always, thank you for your constant support guys!

What's up guys!

Bit of a late post but for those that didn't realize, we have released a new style PCV Breather Cap for the B58 Gen1 guys!

This will be our new Twist & Lock cap that will be sold along side our tried and true Click & Lock cap!

You will still see that the Twist & Lock cap retains the set screw holes and while it is not required like with the Click & Lock cap, it is still highly recommended as with multiple variations to the OEM Valve Cover, some Valve Covers will still want rotate a little more than others. With the set screws it will hold it in place against any movement like when the motor rocks side to side (primarily if you have the OCC option).

This will be offered as a 1 Port cap (V1) and a 2 Port cap (V2) and offer the same performance, just with a little more convenience since you can now twist it on.

This will also include my custom secondary oring (last slide) that will create a perfect seal to prevent the chance of any type of leaking from the cap area. The Click & Lock caps will also include a custom secondary oring as well with the same benefits!

Bunch of new things planned for release this summer so just wait on it!

As always, thank you guys for your constant support!

Finally some G Chassis, 5 Series love!

We finally got a local 540i to do some measuring and testing on and here's the final product!

Unfortunately the G30 sometimes gets treated like the redheaded stepchild and gets left out of parts development but for the B58 Gen1 folks, I gotchu!

NO MORE needing to make a custom OCC brace for the PCV Breather Kits because we've release an OCC brace specific to the G30!

Kit will be available for V1 and V2 and depending on the interest level, I can design a topmount brace as well!

As always I appreciate your constant support and I have a lot more to come! Summer 2025 will be a great one!

Introducing the Ross Racing B58 Billet PCV Breather - VE! Simply put, VE stands for Version, Essentials.

This kit will not be replacing V1 but it will be the new entry level version in the Ross Racing B58 PCV Breather lineup. The only thing entry level on this version however, is the price as it will perform just as effectively as V1! If you’re targeting 30+ psi then V2 will still be the recommended solution!

We have heard some of your complaints and tried our best to listen to those within reason! Quite frankly, the only one that seems to come up is that some people don’t need the full kit so the price is too steep. WE LISTENED!

Even though our PCV Breather is proven with the best track record on the market and why so many others have come to copy our design; we understand that not everyone can spend $300 (minimum) on a hose only kit when in some instances they only want to Breather Cap to do their own custom setup.

As you will see, this cap looks a lot different from our other Breather Caps. While it is 1 port like V1, VE has a raised cowl with an AN10 port. VE will no longer use a banjo fitting but instead will use a standard AN10 fitting. This has allowed us to lower cost by eliminating the expensive Banjo fitting.

The next thing you will notice is that this cap now has (4) M3 set screw holes. The benefit of the banjo fitting was that it allowed seamless swiveling so the hose could be angled in any direction. With this cap design you do not have that option but because of the 2 additional set screw holes, you are now able to set the cap in any direction while still being able to secure it in the north & south position.

Since this is an “Essentials” kit, the base version will come with only what you NEED. Nothing more (unless selected), nothing less. It will come with the VE Cap, necessary fittings, grub screws, allen key and vent hose for VE Cap. That’s it! You will be able to leave the high side of the PCV connected like stock and run the car normal.

Of course, there will still be the option to add the high-side hose and also add n OCC for those interested!

Introducing the Ross Racing Oil Cap Breather Removal Tool!

This tool was designed with convenience in mind and at $15, it definitely won't break the bank!

When the oil cap has been installed for awhile it may become harder and harder to remove. As we know, the more leverage you have, the easier it is to move/remove something and this tool was designed to give you all the leverage you’ll need without damaging anything!

You will notice that this product has been 3D printed. Even though it is 3D printed, the material used is ABS so it is very durable while also having a high heat tolerance. This means that this tool can still be used to remove the oil cap even if the engine is hot. This scenario will be useful for those that do not do their own oil changes and instead bring it somewhere.

The main reason for using ABS is because this will prevent the tool from ever causing any damage to the oil cap like scratches or being able to over tighten and damage the Valve Cover.

The Ross Racing Oil Cap Breather Removal Tool is compatible with ALL Ross Racing Oil Cap Breathers. The grooves can only line up one way so if at first you can’t get it to line up, keep rotating it until it lines up and locks in.

This tool has the opening to support using a 1/2 ratchet and even though it is a removal tool, you can also use to to install the oil cap as well.

It goes without saying, but because this tool is made from ABS, in no instance should you ever use a power tool with it. again, NO POWER TOOLS!

As always, thank you for your constant support!
