NEW FROM MMW: CUSTOM TUBE NOTCHING JIGS 🔧
After a lot of design work, test prints, and tweaking, I'm ready to start offering my MMW Tube Notching Jigs.
These are designed to make laying out tube notches fast and simple. Slide the jig over your tubing, position it, trace the profile, remove the jig, and make your cut.
Unlike a lot of tube-notching templates that are limited to a handful of predetermined combinations, I designed these parametrically from the ground up. That means I'm not locked into a catalog of sizes and angles. I can generate a jig specifically for the joint you're building.
STANDARD SETS
A standard set is made for same-size tube connections, meaning the tube being notched and the tube it's being welded to are the same diameter.
Each standard set includes 8 jigs:
15° • 22.5° • 30° • 45° • 60° • 75° • 85° • 90°
CUSTOM IS WHERE THESE REALLY GET INTERESTING.
Because the design is fully parametric, I can also make one-off angles, different tube diameters, and combinations you normally won't find in an off-the-shelf set.
Need to notch 1.5" tubing to fit 2" tubing at 37°? I can make that.
Need a standard 1.75" to 1.75" at 45°? No problem.
Need some oddball angle because that's what your chassis actually requires? That's the whole point.
Each jig features:
🔧 Snug slip-on fit so it stays put while you're marking
🔧 3" minimum grip area along the split on Jigs up to 2.50" diameter tubing
🔧 Heavy 1/8" wall construction
🔧 Permanently marked with tube being notched × mating tube × angle
🔧 Available in multiple colors
🔧 Available as individual jigs, standard sets, or completely custom sets
Whether you're building roll cages, chassis, bumpers, tube frames, handrails, or custom fabrication, you aren't limited to the sizes and angles somebody decided to put in a catalog.
