This Memorial Day, we remember the men and women who gave their lives in service to our country.

Their sacrifice is the reason we have the freedoms we do today. Every workday, every weekend, every moment spent with family and friends, is possible because of what they gave up. That's not something we take lightly, and today is a day to pause and reflect on everything that was given so the rest of us could keep moving forward.

We're grateful for the fallen, and for the families who continue to carry their memory forward. Thank you.

BOSTONtec is closed today, May 25th, in observance of Memorial Day and will reopen Tuesday, May 26th.

When your team relies on power tools throughout the day, where those tools live between uses matters just as much as how they're used.

Power tool holders give drills, scanners, and other power equipment a dedicated home. They keep tools accessible when operators need them, and safely out of the way when they don't, so the worksurface stays clear for the task at hand.

It comes back to a core ergonomic principle: items that pertain to the current task belong within the reach zone, while everything else should stay on the workstation but out of the primary work area. 🌸 What a beautiful Saturday in Midland! 🌸

Our BOSTONtec crew had the best time planting along Eastman Avenue with nearly 600 fellow volunteers for Midland Blooms 2026.

Huge shoutout to our friends at Case Systems Inc. for joining us, and to the Midland Business Alliance for coordinating another amazing event. Can't wait to drive down Eastman this summer and see all those petunias in full bloom! 🌷

Thank you to everyone who showed up early, got their hands dirty, and helped keep Midland blooming. This is our favorite kind of teamwork.

With 12 years at BOSTONtec and a production team he’s helped grow from 17 to 35 people, Bryan is the person who makes sure every workstation we build is something we’re proud to put our name on.

His approach? Communication, trust, and a genuine love for the craft.

When you hear "manufacturing ergonomics," your mind probably jumps straight to back injuries. But a recent EHS Today article makes a great point; the shoulders, neck, wrists, and knees take just as much of a beating, and most of that damage is preventable with smarter workstation design.

A few quick wins from the piece:
👉 Keep work between mid-thigh and shoulder height (the "power zone")
👉 Drop monitors to eye level so workers stop tilting their heads back
👉 Get materials off the floor with lift tables and adjustable carts

It's the same approach we take with every BOSTONtec workstation: height-adjustable, modular, and built to fit the worker instead of forcing the worker to fit the workstation.

Our teams recently came together for a design competition: pick a brand, identify a real problem, and build a working prototype all in one day. It was two teams, limited materials, and a lot of creative energy.

Thanks to the Case Systems Inc. team for a great day of collaboration and friendly competition. Events like this push our engineers to think on their feet, and we walked away with new ideas and a deeper appreciation for each other's craft.

Always a good day when we get to see one of our BOSTONtec workstations out in the field. 🙌

This recent install is a great example of what a thoughtful build can do for a packing and shipping operation: a pegboard and bin wall that puts every part within reach, adjustable shelving and under-bench storage that adapts as the work changes, and a dedicated shipping zone built for fast, clean handoffs.

It's exactly the kind of flexibility we love designing into every station, no matter the customer or the workflow.
