Edison Lirette, our national sales representative, and his wife, Mary, have a reason to be extra proud as their son, SA Hayden Lirette, recently completed Navy basic training and was awarded the prestigious Academic Excellence Award! • NAVY CLUB OF THE UNITED STATES MILITARY EXCELLENCE AWARD: Presented to the graduating recruit who best exemplifies the qualities of enthusiasm, devotion to duty, military appearance and behavior, self-discipline and teamwork. • NAVY LEAGUE AWARD: Presented to the graduating recruit whose enthusiasm, supportive attitude, and willingness to help others during their training period exceeded Navy training standards. — SA Christian Carpenter, Memphis, Tennessee; recruited by Petty Officer Anderson, NRS Memphis, Tennessee; Memphis MEPS, NTAG Nashville
• MILITARY OFFICERS ASSOCIATION OF AMERICA AWARD: Presented to the graduating recruit whose meritorious performance in recruit training demonstrated exceptional professionalism, maturity, integrity and leadership. — SA Vivian Wheatfall, Spokane, Washington; recruited by Petty Officer Giles, NRS Spokane, Washington; Spokane MEPS, 5th BN, U.S. Military Entrance Processing Command, NTAG PNW Ombudsman
