Yesterday, AI Engineers participated in the City & State NY Rebuilding New York Summit, joining leaders from government agencies, transportation authorities, consultants, and technology firms to discuss the future of New York’s infrastructure.
AIE was represented by Christine Mizioch, Assoc. DBIA, Rashid Baig, and Ehab Abdel-Naby, RA, with Christine serving as a panelist on “Strengthening New York’s Transportation Systems.” The discussion highlighted the importance of collaboration, innovation, resiliency, and emerging technologies in delivering complex infrastructure projects more efficiently while meeting growing transportation demands.
The summit featured keynote remarks from Jamie Torres-Springer, President of MTA Construction & Development, who shared updates on the MTA’s historic $60 billion Five-Year Capital Program and major initiatives including ADA accessibility upgrades, Penn Station Access, the Second Avenue Subway expansion, and the Interborough Express (IBX). Attendees also heard from NYC DOT Commissioner Mike Flynn, who discussed transportation resiliency, mobility improvements, and investments in roadway and bridge infrastructure across New York City.
These conversations align closely with the work AI Engineers performs every day, helping clients modernize critical infrastructure, improve operational performance, and leverage technology-driven solutions to build more connected, resilient transportation networks for the future.
