1961 Maserati water pump repairs. A very competent local specialty shop took this pump apart and located a replacement seal along with new bearings. They also realized some machine work was required in order to put it back into service. That is where Hopkins Machine Company comes into the picture. I took pictures along the way to show the customer just what I had to do and how I did it. This is the slide show I gave the customer who already had a good idea of what need to be done.

These mirror brackets were 2 1/2" too long.
So I cut them off and rethreaded the ends.

This one is for my home shop friends. I saw this Amazon ad for a 2" face mill for what seemed to be a give away price of $36. For that price I decided to take a gamble. The only problem is I want to use this in my NMTB 30 spindle. So I decided to use the Amazon arbor and turn it to a straight 3/4". That way I can use it in a 3/4 mill holder or a 3/4 collet in a standard Bridgeport. I think this worked out quite well and the cutter is surprisingly nice. I of course have a job coming up that this face mill will prove itself or fail.
