Students in Essex Tech’s Metal Fabrication & Joining Technologies program recently had the opportunity to visit Salem Metal, Inc. in Middleton, gaining a firsthand look at the industry they are preparing to enter. 🔩
Owner and Essex Tech advisory board member Jason Vining welcomed students with an excellent overview of modern metal fabrication before leading a tour of the company's 100,000-square-foot facility. Throughout the visit, students followed the complete production process, seeing how projects move from blueprints to fabrication and ultimately to powder coating.
Experiences like this help students connect their technical training to real-world applications while providing valuable insight into current industry practices and career opportunities.
