As pools across the country close up for the season this Labor Day, Portland, Maine, has something to celebrate and look forward to next summer. Our Municipal Team provided civil design services for the Rising Eddy Community Pool (formerly Kiwanis Pool), where major renovations quadrupled capacity and added water slides, lap lanes, a splash pad, and zero-depth entry access. We're proud to have played a part in such a fun new community amenity.

LJB is looking for a Senior Traffic Engineer to grow our Transportation Practice out of one of our Ohio offices in Dayton, Cleveland, or Columbus.

You'll handle traffic impact studies, signal design, corridor studies, and client management, while mentoring other engineers on the team.

We need a PE license, 7 to 15 years of experience, and hands on knowledge of tools like Synchro, HCS, and VISSIM.

We designed this four story, 110,000 square foot tilt up building using spandrel panels between full height sections to create the fully glazed corners the architect wanted, along with tilt up stair cores to reinforce the exterior shear walls.

This role covers proposal writing, project delivery, and hands on technical work, from geotechnical calculations to structural design for shafts and tunnels, with room to mentor junior engineers along the way. We're looking for 15+ years of experience across design and construction phases and a collaborative, forward thinking approach.

Salary runs $160,000 to $182,500 based on experience and certifications.
