In our Ladder Safety Month outreach in March, we focused heavily on raising awareness about OSHA's fixed ladder fall protection requirements, which included a deadline of November 2036.

OSHA has reopened discussion around fixed ladder fall protection requirements, following a petition submitted by some industry organizations. Public comments are open through June 5, 2026, and we encourage organizations to review the proposed changes, evaluate how they may impact their facilities, and participate in the conversation.

Most fall protection systems don't fail because of one catastrophic flaw, they fail because of the weakest link nobody thought to check.

Join Thom Kramer, PE, CSP for his upcoming OH&S Magazine webinar, "The Weakest Link: Where Fall Protection Solutions Fail," to break down exactly where these gaps hide and how to close them before someone gets hurt.
