Blues, brews, and a strong sense of community!

As part of our 50th Anniversary celebration, Metric was proud to participate in and sponsor the Third Annual Washington County Chamber of Commerce Blues & Brews Festival in downtown Chipley. Our own Amy Wiwi, Vice President, Northwest Florida Regional Manager, is a member of the Chamber of Washington County!

Events like this reflect what our community outreach initiatives are all about. Bringing people together, supporting local businesses, and investing in the places we call home.

From live blues performances at the historic depot gazebo to the vibrant vendor market, Kids Zone, and craft beer tastings at Chipley Station, the festival created an unforgettable experience for all ages. We’re honored to play a role in events that celebrate local culture while strengthening community connections.

As National Work Zone Safety Week comes to a close, the message remains clear: safety doesn’t end here!

Every cone, sign, and barrier is there for a reason, and every worker behind them deserves to make it home safely. Slowing down, staying alert, and giving crews the space they need aren’t just best practice they’re responsibilities we all share.

Let’s carry these habits forward, every day, in every work zone. 🚧

Go Orange Day is about more than wearing a color, it’s about standing behind work zone safety and remembering the lives impacted by work zone tragedies.

Observed on April 22 during National Work Zone Awareness Week, this day helps bring national attention to the importance of protecting both roadway workers and the traveling public.

Join in raising awareness and showing your support.

Earth Day is a reminder that the work we do today shapes the world we leave for tomorrow. 🌎

We’re proud to celebrate by recognizing our incredible Environmental team for once again taking part in the City of Weston’s Earth Day Event! They continue a tradition of community engagement and environmental stewardship in our communities.

Moments like these reflect who we are at our core: a team committed not only to building and improving infrastructure, but to supporting the communities and environments that make it all possible.

Here’s to 50 years of impact and to many more spent giving back, getting involved, and helping create a more sustainable future. 🌱

Metric was proud to serve as a Premier Sponsor of Northwest Florida Construction Career Days, supporting its mission to connect students with meaningful career opportunities in the road and bridge construction industry across FDOT District Three.

Held February 18–19, 2026, the Career Days event plays a vital role in workforce development across Northwest Florida, spanning 16 counties and nearly 11,500 square miles. With a population of 1.4 million and more than 26 million miles traveled daily, the region depends on continued investment in infrastructure, including ports, rail, and aviation systems. Events like Construction Career Days help introduce students to the wide range of careers needed to support and sustain this growth.

Metric was honored to attend the Career Days event and engage directly with students, reinforcing our commitment to developing the next generation of industry professionals.

In addition, two Metric teams participated in the Annual Northwest Florida Construction Career Days Clay Tournament in Pensacola on April 10, 2026, supporting Florida Construction Career Days and helping raise scholarship funds that create opportunities for students beginning their careers in the industry.

Thank you to our team members who represented Metric: Kaden Tharp, Gavin O’Neill, Caleb Carter, Chase Harrell, Caden Mercer, Ethan Taylor, Johnathan Taylor, and Craig Evans.

Administrative Professionals Week is here: a week highlighting the work of those who keep everything running seamlessly behind the scenes.

From coordinating details to supporting teams across the organization, administrative professionals are the steady force that keeps teams organized, projects on track, and offices running smoothly.

Their contributions may not always be visible, but they are always essential.

This week, let's take a moment to thank the individuals who make it all happen!

National Work Zone Awareness Week is here.

As construction season ramps up, Metric is proud to stand behind this nationwide effort to raise awareness about work zone safety and protect the crews who keep our roads moving.

Remember to slow down, stay focused, and give crews the space they need to do their jobs safely when traveling through work zones.

Together, we can make our roads safer for everyone.

Giving back to the communities we call home is at the heart of who we are.

Our Central Florida team came together to clean up 1.5 miles of roadway through our Adopt-A-Road commitment—helping care for a stretch we’re proud to call our own.

A big thank you to our team members who made it happen: Charles Stratton, Lisa Sparling, Michael Hudson, Jessica Broschart, Amanda Jorjorian, and Heidi Bouthillier.

Here’s to 50 years of building, improving, and giving back. 🌱

“Women are not just part of history, we are the makers of it.”
- Madeleine Albright

This Women’s History Month our nation celebrates the women, past and present, who advance innovation, strengthen systems, and create lasting progress across generations.

Women have long played a critical role in advancing infrastructure and transportation.

From Emily Warren Roebling, one of the first recognized female field engineers in the U.S. who helped lead the completion of the Brooklyn Bridge, to Elsie Eaves, a pioneer in construction data and one of the first female members of the American Society of Civil Engineers, to Mary Walton, who developed innovations to reduce noise pollution in early urban transit.

At Metric Engineering, that perspective is part of our foundation.

As a women-owned firm led by our President & CEO, Veronica Benitez, we’re proud to carry forward a legacy of leadership, innovation, and impact built over decades and still shaping what comes next.
