In the aftermath of Hurricane Helene, which left much of Asheville, North Carolina without power and water, two TACO team members, Gene Bray and Billy Manus, stepped up to deliver crucial supplies and gasoline, aiding the recovery efforts. At 4 a.m. on Sunday, September 29, Bray and Manus began their journey to Asheville. What should have been a three-hour drive became a grueling nine-hour trek as they navigated around flooding, road closures, downed trees, and safety blockades. Along the way, emergency workers allowed them passage, recognizing the urgency of their mission. We are deeply thankful and proud of our TACO Hometown Heroes – pedro rosa, Gene, and Billy – and for their extraordinary efforts in helping the residents of Asheville.

Hurricane Milton Oct. 11 Update: We are happy to report that all our TACO Seating team members are safe and accounted for. While our facility remains without power, we are pleased to report that our TACO Seating building did not sustain any damage, enabling us to resume operations in the near future. Our parent company, Patrick Industries, is sending generators that will enable us to reopen TACO Seating next week ahead of power restoration. However, because of the incredible work of the local officials and the linemen and women working around the clock, we are hopeful that power will be restored soon. Additionally, we are proud to report that because of the efforts of several team members from our Main Manufacturing & Central Distribution facility in Sparta, Tennessee, we were able to provide crucial supplies to our Florida-based team, most of whom do not have power or water at their home while recovery efforts are underway. During the supply distribution at our TACO Seating facility, we hosted a barbecue for our Florida team and their families, ensuring everyone had plenty to eat before heading back home. While there is a lot of work ahead for everyone impacted by Hurricane Milton, we are grateful for the small part we could play in ensuring the continued wellbeing of our team.
