It might seem harmless to toss in cardboard, scrap wood, old furniture, or other household materials—but what you burn matters.

We came across this article that highlights some of the biggest chimney fire risks, including burning the wrong fuel, using wet or unseasoned wood, and not having the chimney swept regularly.
