All South recently completed drainage improvements for Lafourche Parish Government designed to better direct rainwater along the roadway. A new roadway overlay helps redirect runoff and improve drainage through the area. A simple improvement with a visible difference.

It was a good Monday for the All South team!

At Pelican Point, All South participated in the EA vs. STA Ryder Cup Golf Tournament, with a team competing on the course and our tent keeping players fueled with food and drinks throughout the day.

We wrapped up our first All South Pickleball League last week!

On Friday, our team gathered at the Metairie office for the final matches of our inaugural pickleball league. Whether playing, watching, or just stopping by for lunch, it was a great afternoon to catch up with coworkers from across our offices. We’re already looking forward to next year!

Design, funding, permitting, utilities, schedules, stakeholders, construction, and more can all overlap along the way. Keeping those pieces coordinated helps projects continue moving forward from one phase to the next.

Successful projects aren't just about the individual pieces. They're about how those pieces work together.

From the All South Archive: Alexis Bay Terraces

Completed in 2016, the Baptiste-Collette Estuary Marsh Creation Project restored 111 coastal terraces in Alexis Bay that had been damaged during Hurricane Katrina.

All South worked with Plaquemines Parish to assess the damage, develop the rehabilitation scope, navigate the FEMA Project Worksheet process, and secure funding for the repairs. Once funding was secured, our team managed the design process, which accounted for the unique soil conditions of Alexis Bay, and provided construction management and resident inspection throughout construction.

Despite challenging and unusually high water levels during construction, the $2 million project was successfully completed with 111 terraces reconstructed and project costs fully reimbursed by FEMA.

Nearly a decade later, we're looking back at a project that brought together disaster recovery, project management, and coastal restoration to restore an important part of Plaquemines Parish's coastal landscape.
