We are proud to share the Reach L Floodwall Project progress in Cut Off, LA alongside Sealevel Construction. Eustis Engineering provided geotechnical engineering services during construction, including pile load testing, monitoring, and data evaluation to help verify foundation performance and support design. Our firm also performed geotechnical exploration and provided engineering design recommendations for the interim flood protection efforts.

Great work by the entire team delivering critical flood protection for South Louisiana.

What does 7 drill rigs, 2 CPT rigs, 14,580 feet of soil drilled, 20,137 feet of CPTs, 20,000 linear feet of ERTs, and over 135,000 working hours look like? These stats comprised Eustis Engineering’s comprehensive geotechnical engineering program in support of the Hyundai Louisiana Steel Mill (LSM) project.

Our team worked efficiently under tight timelines to deliver critical data and recommendations that helped keep the project on track and allowed construction to move forward as scheduled. We look forward to continuing our work on the project through performance of construction phase services.

Projects like this highlight how thoughtful planning, engineering expertise, and strong partnerships come together to support workforce development and economic growth in Louisiana. Congratulations to Hyundai Steel Company and all project partners on the continuing progress on this milestone project.

Who knew engineering could be so much fun? Gulfport Branch Manager Brian Deschamp, P.E., showed the campers at Wayfinder Initiative that geotechnical engineering is not always playing with dirt, but it sometimes is.

We value our engineers who take time mentoring students of all ages who may be motivated to pursue a STEM career.

Spring events start coming and they don’t stop coming! Eustis Engineering has been busy both out in the industry and with our team. We had teams and tents at the Tri-Society and ACI Golf Tournaments; participated in the 12th Annual One Man Shoot Fundraiser; hosted our employee crawfish boil; attended the ASCE LA Section Spring Conference and Association of Levee Boards Workshop; and finished it off with a company blood drive. We are proud to stay connected, give back, and support the organizations and events that make our industry and community stronger.
