In 2019, Carubba Engineering, Inc. reverse-engineered an existing dock for Buckeye Partners in Ingleside, TX. We facilitated the demolition of a liquid bulk terminal preceding construction by designing a 250 foot long cofferdam to retain 40 feet of intercoastal water way at the entrance to a four acre graving dock. Our design included a sheet pile bulkhead. We analyzed the structural retaining walls, slabs, and other components associated with the demolition sequencing of the existing dock and safe occupancy of the new terminal. CEI performed daily site observations of the graving dock destruction and on-site engineering associated with the adjacent 60 acre marine facility over the span of 10 months. πŸ“
