💧🌳 Water Wednesday!

How do farmers know how much water their pecan trees need?

Farmers measure water in several ways—from monitoring irrigation amounts and soil moisture to watching weather conditions and the trees themselves. 🌳💧

At Worthington Farms, every drop matters. Growing pecans in the desert means being thoughtful about when, where, and how much water we use to keep our trees healthy and productive.

Water is one of the most important tools on our farm.

**Fresh Vegetables 🥗 vs. Roasted Vegetables 🔥**

Which one are you choosing?

There’s nothing like the crisp, fresh flavor of raw vegetables—but roasting brings out their natural sweetness and adds delicious caramelized edges.

And here’s the fun part: **both are even better with a drizzle of Worthington Farms Pecan Oil!** 🌰

🌳🌰 **Ask A Farmer Monday!**

How do pecan trees get pollinated? Great question! Pecan trees are **wind-pollinated**, not pollinated by bees. 🌬️ The male flowers release pollen into the air, and the wind carries that pollen to the female flowers on another pecan tree.

That’s one reason pecan orchards are planted with multiple varieties—different varieties can help ensure good pollination and a successful crop.
